The Nova Vida Creche (Childcare Center) is located within the Sao Jorge Favela in Londrina, Brazil.  It provides a save and nurturing environment to 80 children ages 4-7 years old.  The creche enhances the educational program offered by the state,  serves warm, nutritious meals and offers social and moral support by a very caring staff.

It was founded by an generous man who took the initiative to establish a foundation in 2000 to build the creche.  The creche has benifited from outstanding administrative and financial support provided by many organizations including the South American Theological Seminary and Beyond Our Borders.  Recently, the Nova Vida Creche was recognized as one of the best operating creche’s in Londrina, Brazil.

Each year, Beyond Our Borders raises money from the members of Christ United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill, NC to fund special projects including upgrades to their laundry, kitchen and rest room facilities, playground equipment and furniture and books for a children’s library.

In 2010, Beyond Our Borders is funding the construction of 2 new classrooms which will be used to accomodate an additional 30 pre-school children.
